This game is a little treasure. It is perfect? No but it's still in early access and the dev is really invested in making the game better and better. Which is a huge plus. I was very sceptical at first, got recommended this game through a friend of mine and well it's probably the best game I've played in recent years. And unlike some reviews saying this game is so great and they have 3 hours playtime. Look at my playtime it will give you an idea. I've gifted this game to 4-5 of my friends and everyone liked it.

I recommend this game but instead of saying all the positives about it.

I'm going to write all the negatives. Hopefully someone can work on those to make the game better.
(My own opinion, of course)

I might forget some stuff so if needed I will update this review.

1. Cards upgrade, why so limited ? Why can we only upgrade a card once ?

2. Higher Difficulties, absolutely unbalanced in a very bad way.

3. Hero combo abilities, why single target only? Why not area? Why you can't target objects with those attacks either, very stupid.

4. Mission objective: most of the time unclear, while there some map where you can just focus on the objective and it will finish the mission, other time you need to defeat the remaining enemies, if it was more clear it would be easier to focus on specific stuff only to realise later
that you focused on the wrong stuff.

5. Cards order RNG, while I understand why it's there, it can make some mission much harder. Quick example: Scarlet Witch as a lot of area attacks and there one card that give boost to the area of effect for her attack but if you don't get that card early, she end up almost useless(not totally) but you understand what I mean.

6. Heroes balance, nuff said, some heroes are just WAY better than others and it's not even funny.

7. Numbers of cards, this is a turned-based card game, you would think they would have more cards per character. Don't tell me about possible DLC later,I'm talking about right now.

Will add more stuff as I think about it while playing the game.

"Easy to pickup hard to master" best way to describe this game.

Final Update, launch this game after a solid 2 months of not playing it at all. Get into the menus try to get into the game, infinite loading screen with the heroes picture describing their abilities, I try to ALT+F4, doesn't work, I have to open the task manager to shutdown the game, proceed to go into my stream library and I uninstall this mess of a game, NEVER playing this crap again. Total ripoff garbage.

Too bad this game cannot be bought anymore, glad I got the 3d realms anthology pack at the time, it's a must-play classic.

This game is really fun, major problem though: Game keep freezing on the last boss. I got to him about 5 different times now, only for the screen to freeze for no reason at different places during the fight. All the others games I played recently never had this problem. So until they fix this bug which for me ruins the whole game, I can't recommend peoples to pay 15$ for a game like this.
