Best Mil aviation theme game out there. This isn't a war thunder arcade type game, must be willing to sit down and learn systems, flight basics, and tactics. Will need $$$ HOTAS set ups to fully enjoy this game. Will also be willing to spend several hundreds of $$$ to buy a few modules you will want to fly.

From a real pilot this game is very disappointing. The graphics are 2010/2012 at best. If you would like a well designed airfield you will need to pay extra for that ($30-$50) for one airport. The physics are bad. I try to brake the aircraft with the flight pedals but the moment I tap the pedal is screeches and pulls the aircraft way left or right as if I used maximum braking. The comms are a SLIGHT improvement since you can file a flight plan (without SIDs and STARs so half asses it), switch to clearance/ ground/ dep/ center in a logical way. However when you get to your field of attend landing atc will vector you in circles until you run out of gas. They are unable to effectively vector you into an approach like an ILS. It's pretty much required to cancel IFR and proceed VFR to land. There is no multiplayer, no shared cockpit unless you download third party hardware. The planes are VERY limited, maybe 10 aircraft? However you can download mods to add more but they are user made so the quality is typically a shell of an aircraft. You would think a flight sim with todays technology could do a bit better.
What I would have liked to see as a bare minimum for a game of this age is a robust ATC system, aircraft physics, and proper looking weather.
Second tier items would have been graphics, multiplayer, larger selection of aircraft.

You must download the DCS BETA or be on the new 2.0 version of the game. You must also buy the Navada map AND the F-5 modules.

I played this game at first and went no where with it by myself. I then picked it up a year later and played on a server with my friends. It was amazing. Its scary, survival, and an action packed story. You won't find many $60 AAA titles that can compare to this game. Especially on sale. It's worth every penny and has at least 20-30 hours of solid gameplay.

There are a lot of people saying 'it dosen't show up' when they buy this map. You need to download the Alpha to use this map. So if you currently use the Beta and anything before than you will only have the Caucas map. They are working toward an update so you can switch between maps using one version. I know it's a pain to have to switch versions to use different maps, but I hope by supporting these maps the devs will make more!
