This is the definitive study level aerial combat simulator. "World" is the correct descriptor as it appears the developers intend to keep improving their game until it really is a world of its own, replicating things down to sometimes the smallest detail.

Graphics are stunning and are continually being improved. Even older products are updated and tweaked so that all players will be able to enjoy the same up to date level of game play.

I've always wanted to fly the F/A-18 Hornet since I was a small boy in 1983. This is the closest I will ever get to that dream and I can do it from the safety of my own home. In addition to being visually stunning, the fully functioning cockpit and flight model of the high fidelity aircraft brings home the complexity and detail of the DCS World.

Simulators are not for everyone. The patience and dedication required to derive enjoyment from the high fidelity aircraft requires a determined and motivated player. The low fidelity aircraft such as in the Flaming Cliffs 3 pack are much easier to learn and are a good place to get your feet wet for not much investment.
