For all players who come from competitive shooters and were constantly disappointed and bored by other koop-shooters (but you getting old and slow and you need a shooter to play with your old buds to ignite the "nostalgia-flame" of actually playing a game just for fun without chasing rank.) This is it.

There are enough difficulty settings for everyone and PvE is actually fun in this game.

Since CS2 there is a 99% you either get 4 russians on your team who can't speak english or your get steamrolled by new accs with cheaters.

It is just not that bad as many reviewers here make it out to be.

It has issues and ofc after we got Sekiro and Elden Ring it is really really hard to make a better souls game like those two.

People who are crying about enemies and boss mechanics and such probably use exactly 3 buttons on their controller. Light attack, heavy attack, and dodge roll. They still play Dark Souls. They dont attack after successfull parry. They don't use i-frames on dodgestep etc.

This game gives you so much tools to do stuff and especially range and throwables feel really good. The lantern if used right can destroy strong enemies easily. It had a bit of a learning curve.

Biggest downsides:

- performance: I'm on a 3060ti and in some areas it drops under 60 and it some bossfights i'm constantly at 90-100
- Enemies get repetitive: Yes they will get reused it can get a bit stale

Biggest upsides:

- damn it can look ♥♥♥♥♥♥ good
- When it works it plays so good and it feels a bit like playing dark souls 4
- devs are actively working on it to fix stuff since launch

This game isn't a 9/10 and it isn't a 6/10.

Just sad that this game died.

It sure is toxic. But still one of the best and unique fighting games out there. No wonder that it doesn't die.
