I played this game in my heyday of college, you know, like 6 years ago. Something for everyone. you want puzzles? done. poker? done. running a ship? done, running a crew? done. a flag? done. govern an island? done. levels upon levels for everyone. I just wish more people played - it's fricking amazing.
Oh, and a kick-ass economy with labor, resources, supply, demand, government regulation. an economist's dream.
This game is ridiculously old and i spend way too much time on it. Hell, I have Medieval 2, Empire, and all the extra campaigns and I still play the original. I suppose one day I'll get Shogun 2, but until then I'll be playing Rome (so old!)
