I've played RE4 on every platform it's been released on and this remake is so incredibly good! Mercenaries mode is out now too. The biggest concern I had was length. I was worried the game would be remade missing parts to shorten it, but everything is there. It's every bit as long as the original with all the rough edges smoothed out. Super fun and all sorts of good Easter eggs, bonus weapons, achievements, etc.

Still haven't been able to play. Shaders compiling. :(

Sad that it was allowed to go out the door like this. f*** the fans get profits...am I rite?

The game is really fun. If you watched and enjoyed the anime, the game does a good job capturing the main plot points of the anime and let's you play through the battles. They have the same English voice cast for the dub too which is cool.

It is a bit easy though. I went through all 10 ranks of training with one of the characters without a single loss. Also the emotional parts of the story don't hit quite as hard as they do in the anime because of the way the story is a little jumbled up. They have these memory fragments that go chronologically with the anime but you don't unlock them until you play through certain parts of the game, so you're regularly watching a memory fragment with information that would have made more sense to get earlier in the game.

But at the end of the day it's super fun. The animations are incredible. The battles feel epic and if you love the anime...now you get to play through it as a video game. They really didn't leave anything out. It's all there (even if out of order).

Played for an hour so far. Pretty great! It's like playing through an episode of interdimensional cable with all your favorite Rick and Morty voices courtesy of Justin Roiland.
