I have only played this with Oculus Rift using touch controllers.

One of the best VR experiences I have had so far.

You haven't lived until you've had a black hole missile detonate to your side as you desperately try to steer your ship out of its pull in VR. The sound and the feeling of it pulling you in and wrecking your ship while you push the accelerate button on the touch controllers is amazing.

The campaign itself is similar to Mount and Blade.

Highly recommended.

Early Access Review
I am updating my review, leaving my old review below.

After the developer assured me that the archery has no deviation and has realistic physics I went to the main area and practiced archery on the training dummies. I realized that the developer was correct and my issue with archery were from me. It is indeed difficult to master and I think the devs should put in a little note on how exactly to aim so new comers dont make the same mistake I did and just assume the archery was not well done.

Old Review Below:

I was hesitant to pick up this game because of early access but I did because someone offered it for really cheap($10) and I can't resist a good deal.

Here are my impressions.

Archery is garbage, the aiming is pretty much impossible. I was keeping my bow arm completely still and my shots would just fly all over the place despite the bow not changing position in game. This is not great as one of the only 2 classes you can choose from is an archer. I ended up having to use daggers to kill everything. Enemy archers, I had to walk up to them slowly while getting shot to stab them to death as an archer because the aiming is so atrocious. There were portions of the level where the enemy archers were on the other side of a ravine, it took me about 10 minutes of shooting to finally land some shots to kill them.

The graphics are nice, except there's occasionally some glitches with the ground where it looks like two different ground textures were put together but not perfectly so there's like little gaps of light. They looked like dead pixels on a monitor to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Game runs smoothly at least and the melee fighting is pretty good. You can block with weapons and dual wielding feels great, using one dagger to block and the other to stab although the AI has cheating 100% block rate on normal difficulty so you have to just wait for them to swing at you to attack, this is very bad when there's multiple enemies on screen and I chose the archer path so my melee is probably gimped compared to the warrior.

I'll have to restart as a warrior I guess since archery is a damn mess and unplayable. I have some really cheap games I got from IndieGala groupbuy bundles for $1 that having better aiming than this.

Played on Oculus Rift.

I loved the previous games but this one felt too unpolished. It really should not have come out of early access.

I requested a refund almost immediatly. The UI is extremly cluttered, animations felt clunky especially in battle, and the music does not change when entering combat or during any other event. All these contribute to a overall feeling of playing an unpolished turd.
