Short game, but I really enjoyed it, especially as someone who wants to support indie developers and doesn't have a lot of time to play games anymore.

The art style is beautiful. I loved discovering aspects of the story and setting through found items, and the controls were intuitive. The puzzles were challenging without being too hard. Overall, this game hits the sweet spot for a chill, cozy game. Recommend!

I can't recommend this game enough. The story is beautifully written. Rest in peace, Mohammad Fahmi.

This game is really going places!

Medieval Rimworld is a great way to describe it, as others have before. I imagine the game will eventually be worth $24.99 as they proceed through the roadmap, but right now, it is not. The events are too repetitive to spice up the monotony of tasks that take long to do (looking at you, mining), there's no way to grow your population organically (as would be needed in this time period), and all there is to do now is build, fulfill basic needs, and protect your villagers from raids. If that's your jam, then you'll have a fun few hours!

I loved the story aspect and that each villager that stumbled onto my town had a unique background. The more I play, I wonder if that would be repetitive at this stage, so I'd like to save the magic for when the game is more complete. This game has about 16 hours of playability without tedium in its current state. However, paying $25 to beta-test a game for 16 hours isn't a good deal right now. Wait for it to go on sale, or put on your wishlist to get later once more features have been added.

I'd love to see a feudal system implemented, taking advantage of one of the major differences between the setting of Rimworld and Going Medieval. At least give me a reason to mine this much for limestone and make a castle! ;) The influence system will be important, I imagine, and may allow for kingdoms to emerge from these humble beginnings. If that's the case, I'm excited for the future of this game!
