These groups are excellent as they allow you to work muscles that pair well together, for instance, back exercises often use biceps as well so it's good to pair them together.
If you're also interested in working out i suggest you start off easy, and don't force yourself if your muscles are really, really sore. You won't gain anything if you can't lift even the smallest weights on top of the injury risk fact. Don't worry the sore feeling will be gone after you get into lifting, it's only rough when you start.
If you have any questions i'd be happy to answer, one thing you might notice when starting to work out is that no matter who you ask, everyone has different opinions on exercises but will claim that X in particular is better than Y, when in reality it doesn't really matter as long as you eat well, rest well and keep going to the gym.
