I don't often write reviews so please excuse my first attempt at this but I felt obligated to share my thoughts on this game. Harold Halibut is one of those games that comes around only once in a while. A game that will catch you off guard multiple times with the feeling that you are experiencing something truly special.

That's not to say this is everyone's cup of tea because it challenges the concept of what a game is. I often forgot I was playing a game as it is very much like watching a quirky indie movie.

This is a SLOW BURN that crescendos at the end which has left an imprint on me that many games fail to accomplish these days.

Harold Halibut rewards the kind of player that likes to take their time exploring, talking to NPCs, and listening to the ambient sounds and music. Playing this game in a dark room late at night with a pair of headphones and zero distractions is a MUST to fully appreciate it. The devs and artists at Slow Bros truly hit the nail on the head with the world building and character development that instantly made me a fan of the studio.

At this point I'm rambling but if you are in the mood for something unique I highly recommend giving this one a go. Hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as I did. :-) And for anyone at Slow Bros reading this, I'm looking forward to your next one, you all are simply amazing! Bravo and brava!
