Ultimately, the core of the game is well executed, so the game is fun, so I recommend it if it's appealing to you and you need to justify buying it.

The writing is charming, there's alot of types of potions, there's a nice and meaty essence system with limited but fair tools to navigate it, and making a potion feel good.

However, before buying, just know that the game's got flaws. It's a bit short (7 hours for 100% completion, including optional achievements you wouldn't get in a regular playthrough), it feels a bit like a beta (not unstable, just unrefined. Some ingredients aren't that useful, some are used in everything. For some of the potions, you only ever make them once. The purchasable upgrades are kinda lame), it gets a bit (but not alot) repetitive, the game is really easy, and that the game is really just a potion themed puzzle game, not a simulation game (the puzzles are good, but still).
