A perfect sequel to one of my favorite games ever made. If you are thinking about buying and you liked the first game, stop reading and do it, you won't be disappointed. For the rest of this review, I'll be going into things I didn't like that much. These will be minor nitpicks.



My biggest gripe is, even at the end of the game, they're introducing new puzzle elements instead of doing harder puzzles that combine previous elements. A world has 8 (+2) levels, and the first 2-3 puzzles are basically introducing the new tool. The rest of the levels are more challenging, but then you finish the world, go to the next one and it's rinse and repeat with a new tool.
Most of the new tools I enjoyed, I feel like the gravshifter and the walkable walls in general were very underused. The laser related ones were okay but I enjoyed the standalone ones more.
What I didn't like were the moving/rotating level piece gimmicks. Not sure why, but I just wanted to be done with those levels. The moving platforms/mules I liked a bit better but I could live without those too.
I also really don't like puzzles that are about crossing lasers in "unintended" ways to disable them, I can never understand exactly how that works.
Maps are gorgeous, a bit too big and spread out in some cases, but ultimately it was fine.

Again, these were minor issues I had and probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't love this game so much. I hope we get a DLC like Gehenna that really makes use of the new tools we were introduced to.
