When I was young I played Castle of Illusion on my Sega Game Gear. I loved playing it back then and played through it countless times. This game is a remake of the classic game and it's wonderful. A fantastic omage to the classic game. Reminiscing about my childhood I've been enjoing this game. Leveldesign is very close to the original. Going throw the levels trying to remember all the details of the classic. It's been great. Furthermore there is a storyteller by your side throughout the game. The storyteller does a great job commenting on Mickeys (your) yourney to save Minnie. It's like a book comming alive. The game has replay value. You can unlock some goodies by collecting all items within levels.
I recomend playing this game with a game pad. tried with keyboard, but some sequences were just too difficult beating with a keyboard. After getting my steam controller (every other controller would do a great job as well on this game) it's been a lot easier playing through the storyline. It was a lot of fun playing castle of illusion.
The graphics are well designed, depicturing the comic style of Mickey Mouse. Enjoiable on old graphic cards (mine: GTX 260). Thanks to the developers of this game for paying attention to such detail and the voice actors for giving the characters original voices. It's a great game to enjoy on a free afternoon or evening and a game of value for your game collection.
