I have over a thousand hours in this game, and I fully recommend this game. Building levels has as much depth and complexity as you want. But if you want to make something simple and quick, it can do that elegantly as well. I have seen elaborate contraptions, calculators, hour long puzzles, and even a pokemon battle. As a platformer, the controls are tight and and absolute joy to just run around the spaces that other people create. You can find hyper-precise platforming, vast metroidvania explorations, or just a casual jump in a traditional level. The community is great and helpful, and there are some competitive speedrunners if that is your style.
