4.0 update is sick but introduced minimum ranges which personally made it unplayable but there is an easy fix in the discord under modding

This game ticks every one of my boxes but I hate it. Even when I actively hunt players you can rarely find them and if you kill one you can barely tell, they are indistinguishable from players in literally every way: model, guns, voice, many behaviors. There are SO many npcs it's really a pve game with pvp enabled. Solo mode is nice but still too many NPCs and teaming.

Ship combat makes zero sense to me, you don't get loot for ship kills and they can easily escape when you destroy their ship before you can board to loot. Even if I wanted to focus heavily on it, I'd need a teammate to whatsoever.

I spend most of my time wandering empty hallways after killing brainless npcs trying to find exit bc maps don't really have landmarks, just the same halls and assets repeated. This is even with the maps pulled up, they're that bland. It does dystopian space setting great but there's not really tension bc it's all npcs so instead of being atmospheric it's just depressing.

The progression is super weird. You could find the best gun 5 minutes in, work your way up to decent armor in a few days, but apparently backpacks are utterly priceless. They take so many resources and so much time to unlock/craft and only the latest game ones have any capacity. This means when you go in and kill the literal 15 npcs hoping 1 is a player, you can only loot a gun and some pennies worth of junk. Then wander bored to exit, fly through empty space, loading several times to extract. Your default storage is super small too so it's a huge pain just trying to keep all the different ammo and med types crammed in among your guns and armor. I get that's part of the game, I love inventory management, but you get virtually zero space, it's not relative to your progression imo.

Solid graphics but the gun sounds are awful. Genuinely half of the tension of tarkov and similar tactical shooters is how immersively loud and real the guns are. These guns sound like they're from the PS2.

Huge potential game but it's being fumbled for squad casuals. They could make this the game of the decade in a month if they really brainstorm and execute.

Easily the most underrated and undiscovered roguelike out. Keeps getting incomparable awesome updates.
