I really enjoy this game as just a chill game. Great for listening to music, or having something else in the background. Also good as a 15-minute coffee break game. Can play for hours, or only a few minutes, really works well in that way! Highly Recommend!

What is it:
This is (another) 3D FACTORIO clone. I would say this one is more so a clone than others.
I wouldn't say this game had anything that made me go "WOW", but it's okay.
Comparisons:
It's definitely less fun to play than SATISFACTORY.
It's less fussy than TERRATONICA however, TERRATONICA is slightly more interesting.
It choose to go the research item route (Make X research items to unlock next technology.), which I find a lot less interesting, than making the latest tech unlockables which you will be making anyway.
Notes:
1. Clutter starts immediately and is a real issue. From the start you have no way to make belts go straight up, and thus once you are trying to belt 3-4 resources its a bit of a mess.
2. Turning belts is not super intuitive and often you have to delete a belt and replace it to get the right orientation
3. The inserters are fine, but a bit time-intensive.
4. You can get permanent power relatively quickly which was really nice, as the biomass grind becomes real quick.
Recommendation:
I would recommend the game in the following order:
1. Factorio
2. Satisfactory
3. Dyson Sphere Program
4. Astroneer
5. The Planet Crafter
6. Techtonica
7. Light Year Frontier
8. Captain Of Industry
9. Desynced (Very Complicated)
10. Foundry
11. Factorioids
12. Empyrion

TL:DR - I do recommend it, but wouldn't be the first game I would recommend to someone.

P.S. (List doesn't include Dwarf Fortress which could be in there somewhere if you wanted.

"Its not the game I was looking for, but the game I needed" - TheGreenLing, 2024.
I was looking for another industrial crafting game, like satisfactory, factorio, Dyson sphere program. So I picked this game up. And man am I glad I did. Although it doesnt have much in common with these games, its such a incredibly quiet and zen experience. AND I DONT USUALLY EVEN LIKE THOSE GAMES. I highly recommend it, its incredible, and only going to get better with future updates!

I love industry games and have played them all, Factorio, Satisfactory, Shapez, The Planet Crafter, Dyson Sphere Program, Techtonica, Empyrion, Dwarf Fortress, Captain of Industy, Avoirion, Autonauts, but I cant seem to get into this one. However, the game is totally honest with you the level of AI is off the chain. You can (and are expected to) multi-manage everything and anything.

So I would recommend it for the hard-core industry people, but not for a casual or someone who wants just a chill experience.

Edit: Came back to give it a try, my very first game I won, the opponent exploded then nothing, still in game. I alt + F4'd and upon joining It showed defeat. Which its pretty back welcome back. Doubt I will return again. Sad, its a game I really like.

I have played this game since its release more than 5 years on and off. I have multiple friends who have 2,000+ hours. I struggle to find many of them left. 2.0 was a huge step back, it has LESS FEATURES, than 1.0. So whats the point. They made the graphics shiny, but the game is glitchy, (where it previously wasnt) a good portion of matches lag out, crash, or you win, and the game shows defeat. Its really unplayable at this point, unfortunately. They made a fun game into a broken and unplayable game, sad.

Although I just started have to say this game is incredible. The paper theme is well done, the characters act and seem like they really are on an adventure. They also seem have distinct personalities which hold true. Gameplay is varied, and combat offers interesting ideas. Ex. Need to knock down flying enemies, horn can flip certain enemies etc. I also like to play in short chunks between studying. I find the savepoints are often perfectly set around 10 minutes apart, which is really nice. I am also super impressed that you get the option for hard mode 10 minutes into the game. Being a paper Mario veteran, I took to this option immediately and will update if I run into any trouble, but so far hard mode has been great!

Edit: 6 Hours in and still loving it. I highly recommend hard mode. It makes you really think about your strategy and encourages you to make the most of the cooking system.

I think this game needs a lot more on-boarding and some simpler introductory missions. I started the game and was like this is cool, then within 20 minutes the game sent me into a poisonous environment and I died and all my stuff. But I took that as a learning experience, and figured maybe I was not supposed to go there yet, so I tried to upgrade my character, but was not really able to without higher tier ore (which I couldn't find). So I go back to the poisonous environment and proceed to die again. So.... yeah that was my experience.

It's pretty much an ARK, clone. It's fine, but feels 100% like playing ARK. Was hoping for a different experience, something new, something I hadn't done before. So I would not recommend it, but I can see why people would like it, especially if you have not played ARK before.

I honestly didn't give this game much of a chance, so it may be better than I am thinking, but the tutorial seems like it rips off Minecraft a fair bit. Many of the mechanics are exactly similar to Minecraft, would have liked to see a bit more creativity or a change from what we have already seen. May return to it in the future, but not really grabbing my interest at the moment.
