Update 10/5/24: Sony have claimed to walk back the requirement for PSN but have still restricted access to purchase the game in countries where PSN is unavailable during the backlash (https://steamdb.info/sub/137730/history/?changeid=23416542). I personally think that this appears to be a preparation for a possible account link in the future. Until the Restrictions have been removed, and people in those countries can play the game, this review will stay negative.

The game itself is good, with a solid and cooperative game-play loop.

However due to the recent enforcement for players to activate a PlayStation Account, which cannot be created in some countries, means that a large amount of people who purchased this game will suddenly not be able to play after purchasing the game. This is an unethical practice that should be and is being rightfully called out. Not to mention (to my knowledge at time of writing) that Steam's two-hour refund window is being upheld in this case which is basically resulting in money being taken for no value provided for those people.

The Anti-cheat on this game is also rather questionable with a decent amount of users reporting erratic behaviour or damaged hardware of their computer after use.

I don't normally leave reviews for games, but this was a really good game otherwise. It's beyond disappointing to see things like this happen.
