As a fan of the original resident series, watching my baby progress to AA and therapy as it attempts to get back on it's feet, is somewhat depressing for my RE obsession. The isn't the best with some of the levels taking tips from the Call of Duty franchise in order to encourage kids beyond the genre of horror to check it out. Some of the bosses are amazing, I was on suspense the first time meeting one in particular (won't give out too much as it spoils the game.) That said, the AI really takes a hit with being a borderline limp biscuit with coop barely saving the story.

Luckily for us, there seems to be different styles in each story, featuring chase scenes, hiding scenarios, and a throwback to the oldschool survival horror. It's just enough like a taste test to make you want more. all in all, it's a 6/10, but you can tell RE is trying to polish up and become presentable with the later games like revelations. Grab a friend and a bear (beer) and enjoy it for what it is; a medicore ride through a fair's rendition of splash mountain.
