Early Access Review
First Review: 40 Hours
I love where this game is trying to go but sadly its just not there.

Bug ridden. (game breaking in many cases)
Unbalanced game play mechanics. (300%+ markup economy is just stupid)
Hellish difficulty (often with little to no point other then punishing the player but also partly due to other problems listed above)
Weak plot (which is really sad because this game had a lot of promise)
Awful user interface (halfway through the game I was still trying to find the batteries to charge items)
Simple not a fun experience which is by far the most damning thing I can say about this game.

Save your money and beat your head against a wall if you still feel like buying this game.

UPDATE: 224 hours
Well not much has changed. The game difficulty has taken a bit of a roller-coaster after you reach about level 14. The "easier" parts of the game are a lot of fun but the harder parts leave you swearing and cussing as you load the game over and over and over trying to figure out a strategy that "works." I really don't know what the developer was thinking when he made this game but my guess would be that he has some unresolved hate issues that he is venting through the game. As far as the things I listed earlier the game is still pretty bug ridden, very unbalanced, ridiculously hard, very thin on any kind of plot despite copious amounts of text dialog that I've meticulously slewthed through, oh yeah and no updates to the terrible user interface either.

I did take the liberty of creating a nav point map for the other unfortunate souls who are trudging through this wreck of a game since the developer couldn't be bothered to do such and I've posted it under my art work page and listed it on the community hub.

Current recommendation: DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP

Thanks for the comment Ronny. The price of the game is pretty much irrelevant for me but what does matter is my time. Those 225 hours far exceed $10 or $40 or even $120 I could spend on any game today. If I recommended the game indeed the review would have to change otherwise it wouldn't be listed as "not recommended" now. Again I am considering the time spent on the game not the monetary cost of the game itself. You can easily spend over 100+ hours on square enix games which most fans will tell you is mandatory to "get into the game" but that isn't exactly a point in their favor if the game isn't good. Yeah I agree with you on your stance about the movies but that's usually why I take the time to look at the reviews before I go spend 2 hours at the movies.

This argument is a really a point in favor of giving the game a "not recommended" review since I'd hope to save someone else those 200+ hours of game-play rather then shrugging and saying "eh too bad." In playing this game I very much wanted to like the game but only got 10 -20 minutes of enjoyment out of about every hour for which I played on average. Sometimes more sometimes less. It simple wasn't overall enough to push me to urge it as a recommended experience. I do try to be thorough when I play games like this in exploring the options in the world created so I can have an informed and formulated opinion when I review the game and I even took the usually step of trying to provide assistance to other players in posting a map while I worked my way through the game. I don't think I'd be described as irrational, emotional or insane by anyone other then those attempting to throw non sequitur attacks at me to stand in place of an argument they can't seem to otherwise support.

I didn't change my mind after 40 hours and if you read the review you can see I tried very hard to see the strengths of the game despite its overwhelming flaws. I do tend to love the direction of the game but as I wrote in the review the game is very far off course from where it should be despite its general direction. I think it is spelled "Oy vey." I appreciate your comment but after careful review of your request for a change on the status of my review I cannot at this time implement the change with the argument you provide here for doing such. Thank you again for the comment and I wish you well in your future endeavors.

It is just amazing to me when I see people play a game for more than 8 hours and not recommend it. Especially a $10 game.

If you got 225 hours of entertainment from it...it's definitely a recommended.

Just because you recommend it, doesn't mean your review has to change.

Anyone who gets 40 hours out of $10 and doesn't recommend, is not considering the value of a $1 when it comes to entertainment. A lot of movies are about that (more if you buy any concession stand goods) and last only 2 hours. If the movie sucks, too bad.

225 hours for $10, and he doesn't recommend.

Please, do yourself and us a favor and recommend it- but keep all your review exactly the same.

Wait... you said..."DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP" but have played 225 hours? Are you literally insane? Who plays a game for over 4 hours if it's so crappy....that is so irrational. So emotional. So obvious you changed from loving the game to hating it on hour 40 and again on hour 24. Oi vei...

Like I said I really want to love this game. If I were going to marry a women I might head the advice of the man who lived with her for 20 years before divorcing her. Some is true with video games.
