Game is playable again! Classes and perks stripped down to three basic classes: Heavy, medium and light, all basic weapons available at master level. The specialty weapons are unlockable with xp or gold as usual, but they're no better than the standard weapons, just specialized. If you spent xp before with your account, it has been reimbursed due to the heavy changes to the game.

If you're having trouble running the game through steam, run the highrez installer in the tribes:ascend exe folder, let it uninstall then run it again to reinstall it in another folder preferably. Now you can run it through steam!

You can say this game is pay2notgrind, but that's boring. Paying unlocks all the perks, classes and weapons that are unlockable anyway by fighting matches. When you git gud at this game, no paying idiot will ever be a match for you.
