Hurvl bud! Do you intend to play the Fallout games eventually? Most of my friends already have FO3 and FO New Vegas...

So I'm offering you these games if you're interested that is!

Buzz me up!
likeucare May 24, 2014 @ 12:54pm
Well that's awesome! Guess the same will apply with TW3 then!

As for endings, I went with the one I preferred the most and youtube the rest ;)
hurvl May 24, 2014 @ 1:33am
I think The Witcher games are an exception, since they're made by the owners of GoG, CD Projekt, but I actually did some googling to confirm this option before deciding to buy it from Steam if such an offer like this arrived. Otherwise, I would have waited even longer to get it, because I didn't beat TW1 three times with different endings/choices just to be unable to upload those save games to TW2.
likeucare May 23, 2014 @ 11:21am
Oh? So you can play GoG games that you purchased on Steam? Hmm, never tried that! I had actually bought it uh, twice... lol
hurvl May 23, 2014 @ 2:24am
Yeah, I saw it just now when I started Steam, there were a whole 7 different updates and the last one was about TW2 coming to SteamOS. I think I saw something about that earlier and thought to myself "well, wouldn't it be *very* convenient to also discount TW2 then, as a way of celebrating this" and to my great joy the've done so.

It's funny that this happened now, because I've been watching an auction on ebay for TW2 for the last couple of days and hoping I would win it. It will come to close in 6 hours and I thought I would make a bid (8 dollars) at the last hour, so that my bid would be the highest one when it closes, but now I'll just get it through Steam instead. It's cheaper, faster, more trustworthy and I can get a GoG copy of TW2 by buying it on Steam. I'll only play TW2 using my GoG copy, heh, since I've only played TW1 using my GoG copy.
likeucare May 22, 2014 @ 11:20am
TW2 is currently in a Steam deal right now... check it out!

Wow... just wow! That's really awesome! Here, it costs so damn much to study, its just way insane. University is about 4-5k per year! And most of the time, you gotta work at the same time, like a part-time job, so you can get some money... No wonder students here are so pissed off and done some rioting two years ago...
hurvl Mar 16, 2014 @ 3:48pm
Yeah, we get money from a certain government agency, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Board_of_Student_Aid_%28Sweden%29 . What can I say, Sweden is the best, heh. We've even got walk-without-a-jacket-warm weather for a week now.

A lesser part comes as a subsidy and a bigger part as a student loan, but with very generous payback conditions. We don't pay any tuitions or stuff, but I hear that exchange students pay to be able to study here.

I don't know if this has anything to do with our comparatively high taxes or just something thats part of our culture or educational system, but sure is nice. With youth unemployment being quite high, some young people start studying to pass the time and get money. That's all over for me, though, I've done my time :P.
likeucare Mar 16, 2014 @ 11:11am
Hey man, is it true that in Sweden, you don't pay college and university and even, you are getting paid to study? I, somehow, find this hard to believe :P
hurvl Jul 8, 2013 @ 1:43am
I checked GoG from time to time to see what deals they had during their massive sale, but nothing interested me so I never bothered logging in. It was only the last time I checked their site that I happened to arrive 15 seconds before all offers closed.

Green Man Gaming has also had a special deals week and when that ended, they continued to offer all the discounted games for 30 hours more, but I didn't see anything I wanted there either. I haven't felt this indifferent towards sales in a very long time, so we'll see if the imminent Steam Summer sale will change that. I'm going away soon, for a week, to a relative's house in the Swedish archipelago, so I might miss some of Steam's Summer sale. My indifference doesn't make me feel bad about that, most deals come more than once anyway and there aren't many games I'm looking forward to buy for cheap.
likeucare Jul 7, 2013 @ 9:02am
Time's up in 15 secs!!! Haha damn... you were so out of luck! It's just I was sure you already knew about that super GOG sales but guess not since you logged in too late. I did managed to buy many games there so my retirement days won't be boring for sure! hahahah

Steam sales... yeah I hear you! Last year was quite average-ish so I do hope this summer, it'll be better! I'm not planning to buy masses of games, like big combos pack of anything (since I did that for mostly all the games I had an eye on before) but maybe the occassional deal here and there, it could be worth it!

I do wonder when they'll start those Steam Summer sales though... gotta prepare that wallet! hehe
hurvl Jul 7, 2013 @ 3:24am
I haven't found anything on GoG that's better than what I already have or fills an empty space, so I didn't get any games. Just the other day I went in to look if there were any new offers and there it said "all offers end in 00:00:15" so I was like "Lol, the sale is over before I can even log in". I'm saving my money for the Steam sales, although they'll have to offer something really good and preferably around 5-10 euros (6,5 -13 dollars) for me to buy anything.
likeucare Jul 4, 2013 @ 7:42pm
Man, GOG sales are nasty! hahah Been buying many so far... now, if only I could buy "TIME", so I could actually play 'em games... *sigh*

Are you planning to buy a few GOG games so far (unless you did already) ?

And what about the "imminent" Steam Sales? Planning to buy a few?
hurvl Jun 19, 2013 @ 4:13am
No, there haven't been anything tempting there. Alan Wake + expansion is up for a 90 % sale costing 4,48 dollars, but I already got that for a third of that price from the Humble Weekly sale. I've seen that almost all of the games on my wishlist are discounted, but I have enough great games already that I haven't played. Some of them are in the D&D bundle, but I didn't care much for the other games included there. I even wonder what might possible entice me when the Steam summer sale comes, but I'll probably find something interesting there.
likeucare Jun 18, 2013 @ 3:56pm
Annnnnd, just bought 19 games on GOG... hahah... damn sales! I gotta keep some dough for the eventual Steam summer sales too!

Are you planning to buy some games on GOG, for this sale?
likeucare Jun 18, 2013 @ 3:30pm
Lots of incredible sales on GOG! I'm about to acquire a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of games and you know, for some eventual future where I can do only sit around and game on... *sigh* if only!
Battle Dolphin May 25, 2013 @ 9:29pm
Glad to make acquaintances with someone as passionate about gaming as yourself. Being on the other side of the world I have a feeling that we won't run into each other online often but then again being social is overrated. If you ever feel the itch for some co-op hit me up for Portal 2 shenanigans. Best of luck with your mod project!
likeucare Jan 2, 2013 @ 3:03pm
Indeed, I've just looked at ME Steam pages and no DLC acquirable there. Weird but not surprising ever since EA want's their business done through their systems.

I do have all ME games in physical format and had to download the DLC at BioWare store. As for ME3, Origin can take care of the DLC which is more convenient.
hurvl Jan 2, 2013 @ 1:44pm
I've done some searching on Steam and can't actually find any DLC for Mass Effect 1 or 2. Not that it's a big issue, I just find it weird.
likeucare Jan 2, 2013 @ 12:00pm
From what I've seen, the Mass Effect flash sale is about ME 1 + ME 2... although, it doesn't contain the ME2 DLC, which are quite worth it... You could always buy ME2 collector's later on!
hurvl Jan 2, 2013 @ 11:33am
I see that there's a flash sale for Mass Effect again. I bought it at 50 % off shortly after its previous flash sale, because I didn't think it would become any cheaper during the sale. So now I see that I lost the opportunity to save 3,75 euro. I don't mourn that loss though, because I bought the Crysis Maximum Edition for 4,99 euro and now it costs 9,99 euro, which means that I saved 5 euro on that purchase.
likeucare Dec 21, 2012 @ 8:51am
TFU... well, TFU 1 is much better than TF2 at least. The Ultimate Sith Edition adds all extra and DLC contents. However, the game don't really feel like Jedi Knight franchise. It's not bad but just don't expect something totally awesome either! Also, the game is quite short and the replayability level is quite low... meaning once you do finish it, you won't really feel the need to replay it, trust me. If you can get the game really cheap and got some spare time, go ahead!
likeucare Dec 21, 2012 @ 8:47am
Yeah I know that I have pretty much every game there is... I'm such an impulsive buyer... and with Steam sales that keep going on, I might get the whole selection one day (sarcasm!).

SS3 is a fine game from what I've played briefly and you will be in common grounds once you fire up that game (if you do buy it that is). Mass Effect... well, since you seem to not have played any of them yet, you "COULD" get into the franchise and finally see what the heck was all that debacle with ME3... that is justified in my opinion.

Dragon Age franchise... well, DA:O is a fine game; that should last you lots of game hours; especially with the Ultimate Edition that have all DLC. DA2 though, is very lackluster and disappointing sequel. I still haven't played more than 2 hours on it but will try to finish it... eventually!
likeucare Dec 21, 2012 @ 8:43am
I do want to point out that with DX: HR, the DLC are actually worth it; especially that they aren't expansive! That Missing Link DLC feels exactly like some good old "expansion pack" that past games released. So when you get into HR, try to remember to get ML!
likeucare Dec 21, 2012 @ 8:40am
Hey enjoy DX HR! It's a fine game... especially now that all stuttering been fixed! DX 2 is uh, a very disappointing sequel. It does have some better graphics than DX1 but gameplay and story wise, it is pretty weak. I could say though, that this game made me discover that sweet music band "Kidney Thieves" so all is not bad I guess!

Yeah, retirement is a strong word but in gaming, it doesn't mean much! Think what I tried to mean, is that by the time I reach my retirement (which should be around 30 more years), I'll have lots of options on that backlog...
likeucare Dec 20, 2012 @ 4:54pm
Ah GoG... I got a few games there too... mostly games I've already played again...

Oh and I am "preparing" my gaming retirement, sorta... with all that huge backlog! heheh But that should last for decades!
likeucare Dec 20, 2012 @ 4:54pm
Hey hey... yeah, there is a first for everything and it actually took me a while as well to "open up" on Steam... since I don't play much online games as often as I used to 10 years ago.

As for the backlog, I did said "TRY TO" finish 2-3 games a week... and I do fail badly at it. 1066 games huh? Well, Steam counts DLC on that total as I actually have 563 games... which IS STILL a lot! What I can say also, is that I did have played a few of those games already, long ago... whether previous physical games that I have lost and past console games that I've re-sold at GameStop and used the money to re-buy them later AND cheaper on Steam sales!

I could also say that I had bought many "game packs" that was cheaper to buy the whole thing than selecting a few "good games"... if only I could "re-sell" some games on Steam, it would be cool!
likeucare Dec 20, 2012 @ 3:20pm
Hey Hurvl! Just read your comment! As for your question about Serious Sam 3, I have no doubt that you would be able to play the game decently. Maybe not at "max/ultra" but maybe at around high. I played (briefly) the game on my laptop, and I had the opposite of you... a better processor but weaker GPU. The game ran well but I couldn't max it unfortunately.

And now with that damn backlog we keep on talking about on GameSpy, I'll give it another spin once I'm done with a few games here and there... and also, some on PS3 that I have yet to start so far.

As for SS: FE HD, it does look improved from the standard edition. Is it worth it? I'd say yes if you really dig the SS games AND, intend to replay that First Encounter!

If you've got other questions and whatnot, feel free to buzz me!

PS. And damn right Undying is one of the most creepy game I've played so far... so damn unfortunate no sequel has been made nor any talks into making a sequel has been mentioned anywhere...
