I'll start with the bad first. It is a port from Xbox and PS3 so you will notice some things that normal computer games have that this does not have. Like a talk button or a way to shut off your mic. The ability to assign actions to the side buttons of your mouse. But if you can get past that the game is a blast.

The game does start out slow but don't get discouraged. The weapons you get at the start are very basic and as you move up in rank you get some pretty nice weapons that can level a city block in one shot.

This has to be one of the best "non popular" games I've played in a very long time. Nonstop action and after you finish a mission especially on Hard or Inferno you feel pretty good about yourself on what you just did. Each of the classes play different and have different weapons so no matter what you do your style of play will constantly change with each weapon combination you choose.

To set the tone this game was designed back when Half Life was setting the trend for FPS games. Very linear and not much you can do to go outside of the games set path. When Gearbox took this over they said from the start they are going to finish what 3D Realms vision was for the game. Open world settings and having lots of options were out of the question when this game was being designed. So why reviewers rate the game to the same standard of games with the new scope of today’s games is really beyond me. This games original project deadline was in 1997/1998 timeframe. Do you think Half Life would get the same reviews it got then, today I think not.

This game does everything a music game should do. You can play your own music or use the music from internet radio stations. It is easy to get the hang of and it does not take long to level up. The levels don’t really mean much other than show how much you played and to some degree how good you are seeing how you get more points for playing on harder difficulties. The money you get from each round will let you buy perks to help you out while you’re playing. I generally do not like music games but every time I start this game it’s hard to put down. I just wish the game had more explosions!!!! Not really there are plenty of those and with the new update there are a few new abilities that you can use like tracking missiles or a super laser. When you are playing on the harder difficulties you will find them extremely handy. But what it comes down to the only way you can lose the game is not to play it. You don't want to be a loser now do you? Hurry your epileptic seizer awaits!
