Game is fun for a few hours, then you try faction play. 12 mechs rush your spawn point and kill you, and you have 0 retaliation. 0 options. The developer shrugs its shoulders, realizes they can't code worth ♥♥♥♥, and just have to accept it as a "valid tactic". Then you have the Horrible UI, where you can't do anything once you try to find a game. Screen goes black and locks up. Can't look at your mechs, can't change other mechs. You try to group up with friends to play, then you realize that each matchmaking system forces a different type of group. So if you wanted to change to faction play, you have to kick everyone out and reform, only to wait 10 mins for someone to show up to fight against you. If you have impatience friends, you then have to remove them from your group and reform yet again.

The game is fun for the first 100-200 hours. The in game ui and gameplay, for the most part, is spot on. The out of game UI looks like it was designed and implemented by a 1st year CS major.

TBH, this game is a cash grab for those nostalgic battletech/mechwarrior players. Every 2ish weeks, they release another 'mech' pack, which is anywhere from $20-50 that hardcore fans just eat up like a kid on halloween. For those that do this and read this, i'd be cautious. There is no gaurantee that PGI's license will be renewed once it expires, which I belive could be as early as 2017 or late as 2020, depending on if they reach certain milestones.

All in all, i cannot recommnd this game, which i have played more than 1000 hours in since the closed beta. It was once good, then bad decisions have undermined what could have been amazing. It still has potential, but with the current developers, I have no faith of that being realized.
