Fantastic writing and a clever premise make Slay the Princess a must play if you like horror. The voice acting and sound track are also top class. I don't want to spoil anything, this is one of those games you should just go in with as little info about as possible. I can't recommend this enough.

Near top of the list or possibly the best metroidvania game I've ever played. The level of polish, attention to detail and sheer scope of the game is borderline unbelievable. I've enjoyed every hour I've played of Hollow Knight and highly recommend the game for fans of the genre. The soundtrack is also fantastic and worth a purchase as well.

Just finished the game 100% and I have to say this is possibly my new favorite FPS of all time. The gameplay and mechanics are dead on. I plan to play throught it again on the hardest difficulty.

+Positives+
Amazing character mobility, tons (50+) of incredibly fun and useful weapons, customizable upgrades for weapons that can change tons of traits, upgradeable character skills, fast and brutally violent combat that never gets old, online co-op with up to 4 people, extremely detailed and beautiful visual design, fantastic controls - even a deep options menu with granular graphics settings. The game just feels good to play and I find it inherently fun just to move around the levels and play about experimenting with different combat options and approaches. Carry your character over to a new game when you finish the 12-16 hour compaign!

-Negatives-
If you don't get behind the "love to hate" attitude toward the main character, you might find him rather grating. The level design meanders and can at times be a bit unintuitive. The story is very campy and takes a backseat to the gameplay (which in some ways isn't entirely a bad thing). Some of the UI design in the inventory menus can be a bit confusing and tough to navigate efficiently. Ran into a few silly physics bugs, fell out of bounds once and hit 4 big FPS slowdowns (for about 5 seconds each) over 18 hours of play - nothing serious, but worth mentioning. On and off issues with network connection in pre-release version (in 2 co-op sessions, one worked fine, the other was a problem for 1 player in our group).

There's a level of care and attentiveness that went into Shadow Warrior 2 that stands out dramatically to me. It's not perfect, but for people who enjoy loot-driven FPS/RPGs (like Borderlands) - this is something you need to at least try. Highly recommended!

Lazy, frustrating design and very unfunny - AVGN Adventures unfortunately does not contain much of any of the sarcastic wit of the actual show/AVGN brand and instead focuses solely on the vulgar and crude elements. There's potential here with decent controls and above average spritework but it is quickly squandered in gameplay aside from the outstanding soundtrack and occasional fun reprieve. There's a heavy reliance on 1-hit kill tiles and trollish blind traps to create a crutch of artificial difficulty that takes the place of interesting and iterative level design. Enemies, jokes and references get recycled over and over through the game to the point of tedium. As a fan of AVGN and very difficult platformers I was very disappointed but played through to the end to see if it got any better, it did not.
