An utterly enchanting puzzle/platform experience. This game is really the ‘ying’ to Inside’s ‘yang’. Where Inside was dark, brooding, and nihilistic, Planet of Lana is exhilarating, joyful and optimistic (which is not to say there aren’t dark moments). If you enjoy games where the story and the visuals are as important as the gaming elements, then treat yourself to this work of art. I have had the soundtrack on repeat for months (it’s composed by Takeshi Furukawa who created the music for Star Wars the Clone Wars). For me it’s up there with Ori, Inside and Stray for a perfect synthesis of aesthetic, narrative and gaming experiences.

Stray is wonderful, enigmatic gaming experience to some, short, un-challenging distraction to others. If your kill-count matters more than your motive in a game, if you skip through cut scenes and never engage with NPCs that aren't plot critical then stay away from this game. The plot's pretty easy to work out, the control system is minimal but Stray epitomises the idea that it's not the destination that matters but the journey. I loved exploring this world, I loved the characters, the side quests and the environments. An utterly brilliant game, if being a cat sounds like your kind of thing.
