Cry of Fear has to be the staple of how Survival Horror games should be, along with games such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.It has perfect atmosphere along with story,controls,combat,dialogue, and characters. I'd go on and on about what it's about but it's free and I suggest you check it out for yourself if you like a good in depth survival horror game.
