This only unlocks the cars for multiplayer online play - it does not unlock the cars for multiplayer local [splitscreen] play, which is what I was after.

{Since writing this review I have discovered that this game may be a copy of Hang Glider Demo - Unreal 4 engine - by Epic...so maybe this author is making money unfairly? See if you can pick the demo up for free perhaps - the youtube video of Epic's demo appears similar to this - but with trees!}

I bought this for £3.21 [], having heard about it via RPS, and would recommend it at that price, or modestly higher [gamestate 3-8-2017].

You pilot a glider (3rd or 1st person) around a snowy mountain / lake setting. It all looks quite beautiful, and runs very smoothly. I played it on a projector, which is a great experience. I imagine VR would be even more pleasant.

The audio is nice; quite understated, but so much the better for a relaxing experience, or allowing you to throw in some ambient (I'd recommend playing an mp3 such as Carbon Based Lifeforms: Frog!)

While the title states 'simulator', it really isn't simulator handling. And where I have read others elsewhere say the handling takes some getting used to, or that there are thermals you should be paying attention to... I'd disagree - its initially semi realistic in that you are gradually losing speed or altitude, until - upon flying through a ring - acceleration occurs followed by sustained high speed for quite some time. Anyway, its nice handling, thats the main thing.

The asking price probably gets you an hour or so of relaxation and enjoyment, along with a pretty & peaceful game/experience to show the family some time.

[♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - written in case game author reads this - game graphics settings should be remembered between restarts and AA/AF options listed, levels should be switchable without need for restart, single HUD element should be togglable, strange issue with the number at the top of the screen that I had assumed was 'how many games have you found out of how many total [I got to 53/50?]', needs trees, might benefit from winds/thermals]

I spent 14 hours on this game. So no small amount of time. It is addictive.

But despite that, it really isn't fun.

It's very 'hands off' - you just direct activities between fights. Unforunately once you've picked an activity, you can't accelerate time.

During fights you can make slight adjustments between rounds. However the rounds can be quite long, and if you adopt an energy-expensive strategy (hard to assess in advance), you can be lost before that round is over and a readustment can be made.

I unlocked a lot of skills throughout the game (got to the end of the "way of the tiger" tree), but had to forgo all but the cheapest in terms of energy. The way that energy use increases quite as it does when your strength increases seems unfortunate.

Also the game seemed bugged in some respects. E.g. a "reflect damage" perk didn't seem to work, while a "poison your opponent for the rest of the fight - kick" was useless [energy cost way too high to use against a decently matched opponent, & poison stopped working anyway], and a 'restrictive perk' ('your Str and Endurance cannot rise above 8') just plain didn't work. [Unsure if the "fix the broken engine" quest bit was broken also? at least, the considerable amount of time my char put into that engine didn't fix it ever!]

This game looks/looked like it had potential. Maybe with some changes (bug fixing, time acceleration, and active fighting) it would fix it. As it stands maybe the very initial hour or two is fun. After that, not really fun, but you might sadly still be addicted! [relief when I finally got to the game over]

This was my first steam review. Have a nice day!
