A wonderfully fun return to the simplicity of the original Hammerwatch, but with a complete graphical update and collection of new features. This is not just a simple update, but a full remake with a lot of care put into updating every element of the game.

The game includes three complete campaigns, each remade by hand to update the originals with new higher detail visuals and (in the case of the third) entirely re-imagine the experience in the style of the original Hammerwatch. For myself these campaigns were a fun way to revisit the earlier entries in the series with a new twist and, as with the other titles, were a joy to play cooperatively with friends - totaling around 20 hours for our first play-through. Complete modding tools are also included along with Steam Workshop integration, allowing anyone with interest to create new content (including levels, player classes, equipment, or complete campaigns) or discover what other fans have created.

It would be excellent to see continued polish to clear up some visual and progression issues, but as it stands the game is a very solid Hammerwatch entry. Anniversary Edition is a superb way to experience or re-experience the series earlier outings, and one that I'd certainly recommend as worth checking out for anyone interested in this style of game. (And do take a look at the entire set of games developed by Crackshell, there’s a lot of enjoyment to be had!).

Early Access Review
A neat dungeon delve with a charming art style, and quite often, a bit of tension! This is a rougelike crawler that uses randomly generated dungeons to good effect, and can keep you on your toes with the ever looming chance of failure (all gold earned carries over even if you do meet your end during the adventure!). It's easy to pick up and play as the game auto saves every time you exit, and there's included mod support even in the current early access stage.

Delver is shaping up to be a great game, and I can't wait to see future updates the team behind it rolls out!

Picked this one up recently not thinking much of it, but having launched the game, I was quickly immersed and found myself returning to play more every chance I had. An adventure of a campaign winding through immersive written dialog and stylish hand-painted art that makes up the game world.

This felt like a great throwback to older isometric titles, and even includes a powerful set of tools for anyone wishing to construct their own missions. Highly recommend both this, and the DLC/Director's Cut!
