I'm basically a pacifist in that I believe people should try to get along with each other and there should be no animosity towards one another in a 'game' --- of all things. Admittedly DOD is essentialluy a 'war' game --- but the overall idea is supposedly to have 'fun' with one another in a 'team spirit' to achieve goals, i.e. to capture flags and win rounds for your team.

The first and foremost rule of any game is to have 'FUN' and if you can't add a 'positive' contribution to a game then why play at all?

Although I am essentially a 'Maverick' in many ways in real life because I believe in the 'individuality' of character which I view as a 'plus' --- after all who really wants to be just another 'mindless' sheep that goes along with the mob and never discovers what it's like to be a truly 'free' spirit. I am still basically a 'team player' however because 'score' or 'stats' are not important to me --- but how I play the game and interact with other people is and so I hope I always conduct myself with the dignity and respect that I believe all of us as human beings together on this planet deserve. When we can finally learn that we are all of 'one' race --- i.e. the human race --- that this planet is our 'shared' home and the only one we are likely to get unless we truly learn to co-operate with and get along with one another by putting aside our 'petty' differences and learn to appreciate and respect the individuality of others --- perhaps we can then play games in the spirit in which they are intended --- and who knows we might even enjoy ourselves and appreciate life a whole lot more. Anything is possible in life. :) Regards, Glenn.
