It's good but...

overall nostalgia is there, but it bothers me to no end that they would change the villager build menu and their icons.
you don't even get those cool intros you used to get when launching the game...

Could have introduced the same mechanics from AoE II for AI when it comes to alliances/enemies.
In the original version you could get around that by making everyone on their own teams with locked teams setting on.
in DE it seems they attack each other but only while on the way to swarm you to be the first to kill you.

i swear MS has poor resource management. the only reason i picked this game up was because it was 8$ through the bundle deal because i already had AoE II DE.
