If you're in a rush to power level and conquer everything at once, this is not the game for you. If however, you want to explore a large and complex universe with interesting factions, planets, people and alien life, dabble with colonisation, build interesting ships of various types, use them to blow up/board/capture others, etc then this is for you. They key in this game is not to rush. Take your time, enjoy. There is a huge universe out there to explore.
