Future Edit: Most of these things are still true, but you want to get the newest version XRD Revelator 2

XRD is an amazing fighting game, one of the best; and now it's on PC.

Guilty Gear is a game where there are a lot of system mechanics, along with some really unique character designs. The strong universal defensive system mechanics along with the way the tension/super meter works creates an exhilerating, fast paced game with a strong focus on offense and momentum.

The PC port runs perfectly fine, with some anti aliasing and the "standard" resolution options including widescreen. The options menu is kinda sparse, but because it's an unreal game you can do a lot of ini editting to really lower the graphics if needed.

The netplay is delay based, and having the PS3 version of the game, the PC version is as good if not slightly better. (This might be because 99% of PCs are on wired internet, as opposed to PS3s) Ranked Mode suffers more lag then the player match rooms. Although unfortunate they didn't fix it, this was an issue on the consoles as well.

While I don't have the most controller options, it instantly detected my Qanba Q4 and my xbox one controller, as well as having more then enough keyboard support. If you don't plug it in before you start the game, there might be trouble though.

The worst thing I can say about GG is that it has a steep learning curve, even by fighting game standards. However, with the tutorial, challenge, and mission modes, it makes jumping in blind not as daunting, the only fighting game that does the tutorialization better would be Skullgirls, and even then this is very close if not equal. That being said, this game is good enough that I urge you to look at some gameplay of it, and try to dive right in.

Theres a reason why this game is only half-jokingly referred to as God's Gift.

Praise be.

P.S. If you're interested in learning more about the game in depth, Dustloop is the main community for Guilty Gear and other Arc Systerm fighters. Theres also some surprisingly good content already being posted on the steam guides section.
