Like Rogue Legacy, only 90% less awesome without all the pesky gameplay and production value. This is basically a flash game where you fall down a shaft of platforms while swinging your sword at monsters. It does have all the cool upgrades and different traits, which can be addictive, even if the game itself is far too one-dimensional. Not likely to keep your interest so much as compel you to grind numbers and unlocks, but on a day when you are sick and don't want to deal with a complicated game, this is still more entertaining than a match-3 game. I'd rate this "Neutral" if that were an option

I think a thumbs down probably matches up with how I synthesise your sentiments. But then I think I'm a little harsher in my judgements than you are. I feel like if the only thing a game does is feed the dopamine reward loop to lure me into its grind, then I'm more than willing to harsh on the whole thing. I feel like I've had those experiences, and unlike other one-note experiences, like a game with just great art, or a single solid mechanical idea, a well tuned grind on its own doesn't feel new enough to me to warrant my time.
