*** UPDATED ***

Cry of Fear is an interesting game not because of how it's done, but the fact that it's the only true survival-horror title we'll ever get in maybe a decade or so.

The team that made this game also made the Afraid of Monsters mod for Half-Life, which some such as myself feel this was an improvement over it. The atmosphere in itself is just dark, metallic, tense, and irks danger more often than not. The way the world is built around this is pretty damn good too, it does it right.

Unlike Afraid of Monsters where ammunition worked in the same way as Half-Life, this game does it tradionally, with there being a magazine counter rather than total rounds in reserve; any time you reload you dump all the rounds in the last mag, no ifs ands or butts about it, it's gone.
