Played this game before it went on steam, so don't blame me on my playtime.

Technically the game is a good and solid FPS, Maps are fine and the gameplay feels okay. But No, i can't really recommend it. This is caused due the massive imbalanced matchmachmaking and upcoming microtransactions that will ruin the free to play style in no time.


+ Seems solid for an alpha/beta game. Haven't seen any major FPS drops so far.
+ The game is class based.
+ Overall looks and graphics of the game.
+ wall jumping :D
+ It's still free to win*


- The game is massively unbalanced. You just join a random game, nothing is skill based**
- Most of the loadouts are useless. Level Up and you'll receive an loadout case, 90% of the time it's useless and won't give you and advantage at all.
- If you got a slow class/loadout you're out of luck.
- The shop prices are ridiculous. As of today you'll pay around 7 bucks for an extra class. Or a Free to play... Right?
- It's still free to win, but for how long?*

* With all the upcoming mini-transactions that will hit the game eventually it won't last long.
** At this moment the game is unbalanced as SH*T, I got enough experience with games like Titanfall, Quake and other fast focused FPS games. Yet this game needs some balance improvements like a fair amount of snipers on every team and level based matchmaking.


I would like to add one more thing, There are usually one or two players who for some reason (hacks?) get double, triple, or quadruple the points of everyone else (whichever team they are on wins). This concerns me a lot, nobody seems to care and everyone tells me there are no hack for this game.

I did some research about the ''hacks'' and noticed there ARE hacks around. Everyone is laughing his head off, because there is barely cheat protection and nobody gets banned for it.

Technically a solid game, but still needs some BIG improvements!
One day when it gets the improvements it needs I'll review it again, but for now I don't recommend it.

I actually don't write any reviews and especially not bad ones, but this move of Rockstar touched one of my most loved games.

I would seriously recommend this game to you, but after the latest update (Yeah ... an update after almost 10 years) they just F*UCKED it up ... YES THEY DID!

So basically they ''updated'' al lot of stuff in the last patch. In my opinion they just removed a ton of stuff like almost 10% of the orignal music, your previous save-games (even no luck if you have a back-up, It keeps starting a new game), 1080p support and the list goes on...

Lucky for me I still got an old CD copy of the game from back in the days with the first version on it. If you are thinking of buying this game... get a used one from eBay or at a used game store, only then its stil worth for your money.

I'm not a huge fan of FPS games that are free-to-play, because they become pay-to-win in no time. HAWKEN actualy does not feel pay-to-win, it is a great mech shooter with nice grapihcs and a good and easy gameplay.
Although it is a Early Access game, it plays pretty good on ''older'' computers (and ofcourse even better on newer computers). In my oppinion it's one of the best mech shooters you can play now (maybe better than Titanfall?).

Nothing negative? Yes, there are a few little things like smal bugs and the difficulty of some gamemodes, but for an Early Access game it's a very good and interesting game.

Still one of the best Call of duty games ever made.

I played the MP for days and currently i still love it (yeah, even after 2 years!)
The SP is a great piece of work and the end mission really the best. Like the keep the best for last!

I really recommend this game, even after 2 years (Well, better buy it at a sale...)
