I played this on the dreamcast when it came out and wanted to relive all that joy.
Sadly this is not the American version. This is not clear in its description.

Was it only playing in Japanese for you? Try opening the customization file, going to Audio, and toggling English-->Japanese-->English. Doing that finally got it to play in English for me. It seems to be the original North American localization.

(Of course, that's still a REALLY fundamental bug...)
