Absolutely beautiful. I felt like I was actually exploring. Unlike a lot of exploration games where new areas mean minor variations on what you've already seen, every new area felt unique and full of interesting new questions. It has a deep mystery that I loved piecing together, with it all coming to an immensely satisfying conclusion. The music was gorgeous and perfectly fit to the themes and locations. The locations are so varied, interesting and beautiful. Very, very recommended.

Lovely story, fantastic music, brilliantly funny in spots. Worth every penny and every minute you spend on it.

The game is pretty fun. Sadly if you exit steam, by rebooting for example, it loses your save game. So it's pretty much unplayable.

I was really torn on whether to recommend this game or not. I finally went with a thumbs up because I think more people should see this game, and if the developers put in some more work on it it would be amazing. I got it as part of a bundle and absolutely loved my time with it. The thing is that there isn't a lot to keep you coming back. So an hour or two is probably all you'll get out of it. If you can get it on discout or as part of a bundle then go for it.

As others have noted there just isn't a lot of strategy. You just drop your units onto the map as fast as you can, and you don't even get much control over which units you have access to. It didn't feel like I had much control over how the battle went, I would either completely wipe the enemy with no problem, or get destroyed. I could never tell what I had done wrong or right, it just seemed to come down to what units I was randomly given and where they decided to run when the battle got started.

The only strategic decision you really make is what units to bring to the battle. As you battle you get rewarded with new units, then you pick eight of those units, two from each faction, to bring to the battle. But once you're there you just have to hope that the game offers you the unit you need when you need it.

The visuals are great. Seeing the little units running at each other and battling it out is just fantastic. There are four different worlds you can fight in and they are all decorated with a fun voxel style. Picking your units and moving them around, as long as they stay within arms reach (which they typically don't) is lots of fun. It's almost like you're a kid playing with toy soldiers, except the toys actually come to life and run around.

It feels like it's really close to being a great game, but instead it's just a pleasant diversion for an hour or so.

Things I would really love to see changed:
-Having all of your units available for purchase so you can make strategic decisions about what units to field instead of praying to the random number gods that you get what you need.
-Access to more of the playing area so that you can pick your units up and move them around. There were several times when I would have a group of archers getting torn apart at the far end of the play area while I had a bunch of melee units at the close end and I couldn't do anything about it.
-More information about what each unit's strengths and weaknesses are. There are a couple of different attack types, each unit has one type of attack they do and they typically have an attack that they are strong against and one that they are weak against. The problem is that you would have to memorize all of that because you don't have access to that information once the battle starts. And there's no way to find out what the enemy's unit's weaknesses are. And there is no indication as to what a unit's stats are. Apparently the plant units hit hard but die quick, but the only reason I know that is because it says so in the game store page description.

Beautiful, brilliantly told, funny, mysterious, every new revelation gives new perpsectives on the information that has come before. Highly recommended.

This game is absolutely fantastic. All it takes is two buttons to make you feel like a martial arts master.

The best part of this package by far are the space assets. There are a lot of different ship styles, each with a lot of individual pieces that can be put together to create different looking ships that still look like they were made by the same culture. I can't really speak to the quality of the other assets, I haven't had need to use them. But for me the ship builder assets have made the purchase well worth it.

One caveat that I would fell obligated to put forward though is that as I was browsing through the other assets many of them were basically the same object in different colors. So you would have a collection of six different objects that become 18 or 24 objects just because each has 3 or 4 different color variations.
