I love this game. FIrst got it on my Nintendo DS. Don't know why everyone hates it so much. It's my favorite Puzzle Quest game (including Puzzle Kingdoms and Chronicles... I've played them all.) Yes, the gameboard is different. That makes it more challenging. All the puzzle variations are more embedded in the game and keep you on your toes, especially the jump gates. And the story is interesting (unlike Kingdoms). I felt like PQ1 cheated more than this one. PQ2 seemed to cheat the least, but once you got a solid strategy/spells in place, every battle was the same. It is worth way more than 99 cents!
