tl;dr: I'm still getting occasional frame drops, but Arkane have done a great job of fixing a broken-on-release game, and I'm very impressed with what they've created (now that I can play it)

As promised - My updated review now that the game has been fixed. Still got a bit of a sour taste in my mouth from the terrible release, and I still get MINOR frame drops occasionally, but the game is VERY playable and I am enjoying it very much. Arkane have genuinely made a very worthy sequel to one of my favourite games ever. I'm honestly chuffed that they listened to all the negative reviews and complaints about the game not running as it should, though it should have been tested a little more before it was made available to the public, however I'm no game developer nor do I possess the skills to become one, so my opinion here should be taken lightly.

Overall - Thank-you to Arkane Studios for listening to their customers (and fans) and fixing this fantastic game. You've done a fantastic job with this one, I hope for many more (perhaps with better releases, haha).

[OLD REVIEW]

So far it comes across as exactly what I was hoping for in a game.
The only problem is that the FPS plummets to below 15 in open areas and in those Dishonored mini-cutscene things where you're kinda hiding in the shadows or on a chandelier while watching/listening to story dialogues.
My specs are:
AMD Radeon R9 390
AMd FX-8350 4.0GHz
16GB RAM
- and I can't even run this game on very low settings.
Apparently there are some optimization updates on the way particularly for AMD users, so I'll update my review in the future. I am still optimistic that Dishonored 2 will be an awesome game (when it's playable).

Also had no idea that I would receive that much publicity on my review. Glad I could help, haha!

To all the intel fboys screeching "AMD !!1! SUXS":

The current world record holder for fastest OC is that very cpu.
AMD FX-8350 at a screaming 8.79 GHz

So go grow the fuck up.

its sad how much fanboys will cling to anything they can to dismiss a legitimate review, "lol AMD sux XD", even though theres a lot of other negative reviews from Intel and NVidia users

It's quite amazing to me that people still purchase AAA games. Over the past year I've watched 95% of AAA games have 50% positive reviews and yet still thousands upon thousands of reviews come in from people STILL buying the games. LOL. Seriously, if people are that stupid... they deserve to lose their money. Ive been sitting back and laughing for a year now at every single AAA failure and all these people who never learn their lesson and STILL throw away their $60.

FX 8350 might be bottlenecking that 390.

Best thing you can do is get a refund. If they fix it later you can always buy it then but the signal sent to the dev will be strong. They gave me Skyrim SE and I gave it back to them becuase of this junk.
