I've been a Mad Max fan since long before the days of Fury Road, and no one was more afraid of this game than I was. The pre-release gameplay videos didn't impress me. They didn't look like the movies. I wanted to play the movies!

I'm proud to say that this game is a genuine Mad Max experience. I played Mad Max as if it was one of the movies, and it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great.

The obvious highlight is the car combat. It's the greatest. There's a mini road war around every corner, and they make for the best screenshots. This game has a photo mode. It kicks ass. Look at my screenshot library. Come on, do it.

The on-foot combat uses the Arkham system, but you can't win by closing your eyes and mashing left-click. I've tried it in Arkham and Mad Max. It didn't work this time. This pleases me. Somehow, large volumes of enemies actually can become overwhelming, at least until you've upgraded your melee skill.

You can make your own Magnum Opus! Your own car! You can deck it out with spikes, rams, hood ornaments, and pretty colors. There's also several sets of pre-made vehicles, called "Archangels." They suck. You'll hate them too. They ought to leave them out of the sequel (a sequel? Yea, I'd dig it).

Now, this next bit split the critics from the average gamer-- the wasteland is loaded with an endless amount of activities to enjoy. I love this. Too often will I play a sandbox game and grow bored when I discover there's absolutely nothing to do but shoot at cops (Grand Theft something or other). Mad Max gave me enough distractions to have fun for at least 50 hours.

Oh, and there's parallax occlusion. If there's one thing I enjoy in life, it's parallax occlusion. Mmm....

Yea, it's gr--
fine, I'll say it.
What a lovely game.
I said it. You can go now. The review's over.

Thank you for checking out my screenshots! Mad Max was so photogenic. I've been using the default gamma, I'd suggest just fiddling around.

Seen your awesome screens. May I ask what is the value of your gamma settings, because my game seems to bright...

I would put it on par with MGSV. Not as good as Witcher 3, but still very good and a lot of fun. It's also not a shitty movie game, which movie games tend to be, which is nice.
