I started playing Quake in 1996. Grew tired of deathmatch and decided to try out some new mod called Team Fortress. I immediately fell in love with it and played it religiously until TFC came out in 1999. Unfortunately back then almost every server was running 2fort. I quickly grew tired of it and decided to try making my own map. Wanting to design something different from the norm, I created my first map "Skate2".
In 2002, I became frustrated with most of the servers in TFC running the same handful of Valve created maps and not giving custom maps like my own a chance. So I decided to rent my own server. "AxlsTFC" server was born with the catch phrase "Where 2fort is a BAD thing." The mapcycle was thrown out and a voting map I whipped up in a day was put in place to allow the PLAYERS to choose what maps were played.
The server quickly grew a large following of dedicated players. And for nearly 4 years it was one of the more popular custom map servers in TFC. A place where anyone could have their maps played no matter how good or bad.
In 2006 I decided to pull the server. TFC was now 7 years old and new custom maps were few and far between. The stress from trying to manage the community and keep everyone happy took a toll as well.
2007 Team Fortress 2 debuts and I'm back in love with the game. But will there be an Axls TF2 server? *update* Yes there will, and IS.

Server Information
-Mostly focuses on custom maps.
-Default time limit for most maps is 24 minutes.
-All arena maps have a 15 minute timelimit.
-We DO NOT use any gameplay altering mods like Instant Respawn and Critical Hits modification.

-All custom maps are compressed and delivered from the web for fast downloading on the game server
-No annoying custom sounds or intrusive HUD menus
-No bots or fake player counts to lure people in.

Yeah you can play a slimmed down version of this on the web for free but the extra games you get in this make it worth the price. One of the most addicting games I've ever played. Tons of replay value. it also keeps track of high scores from all your Steam friends which is cool and will keep you playing until you reign supreme at the top of the list!
Great little top down action shooter. Works as a nice replacement for coffee in the morning.
