Thurndering Chefs rules

General Rules
Do not do any of the following:
Flame or insult other members
Bypass any filters
Abuse or encourage abuse of the Reputation, or Post Reporting Systems
Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
Bump threads
Derail a thread's topic
Post links to phishing sites
Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, rickrolls) or Re-post Closed, Modified, Deleted Content
Repetitively post in the incorrect forum (example: trade requests belong in trading forum)
Openly argue with a moderator
Off-Limit Topics/Replies
Do not post any topics/replies containing the following:
Porn, inappropriate or offensive content, warez or leaked content or anything else not safe for work
Any discussion of piracy will result in a permanent ban from the Steam Community including, but not limited to:
Cracks
Key generators
Console emulators
Cheating, hacking, game exploits
Threats of violence or harassment, even as a joke
Posted copyright material such as magazine scans
Soliciting, begging, auctioning, raffling, selling, advertising, referrals
Racism, discrimination
Abusive language, including swearing
Drugs and alcohol
Religious, political, and other “prone to huge arguments” threads
No Backseat Moderating
Let the moderators do the moderating. Backseat moderating is when people who are not moderators try to enforce the forum rules. If you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the Report () button or simply ignore the offensive post(s), thread, or review.
Report Posts to Moderators
Should you observe a fellow Community member breaking these rules please report the post or item by clicking the Report () button located on every item, post, and review.
Repeated Offenders
Repeated offenders of the above rules and guidelines will be banned from the Steam Community. Any moderator has the ability to ban a user for violating the rules at their discretion.


Spamming
Spam will not be allowed in this group. This includes line breaks, inappropriate one-liners, emoticon communications, off topic posts, posts in all capital letters, and posts making no sense. If you feel you need to reply to a post or comment, please make it meaningful, respectful, and useful. Breaking this rule can result in a ban.

Trading
Trading is allowed in this group. We highly recommended that you don't scam other people and if you do it could be kick from the group

Safety
Do not post or link to any scamming or referral sites. Also do not post or link to any pornographic or extreme violence articles of any sort. Keep in mind our that if you do any of these think you will be kicked. Do not post M-rated stuff in chat. Breaking this rule will result in a kick.

Giveaways / Begging
Although this group does giveaways on a regular basis, begging or asking for free items or games will not increase your chances. Our giveaways are done in an organized event. During a chat giveaway, DO NOT talk about the giveaway itself. This includes asking when the giveaway will start, what prizes will be given out, how many prizes there will be, how the winners will be selected, is it over, etc. The group chat is to be used for non-giveaway purposes; only the staff is allowed to mention giveaways, because they are hosting them. Any members that talk about giveaways can be banned. Good luck messages and congratulations messages are exempt from this rule.

Promotion
Links to other groups, websites, or forums must NOT be posted in the discussions or chat without special administrative permission. If a member is caught doing this it will result in a kick.

Respect
Flaming is the act of degrading someone in this group and a form of bullying; this is highly frowned upon and WILL lead to disciplinary action, based on the judgment of the moderators. Also, racist or prejudice posts or unnecessary flames will NOT be tolerated. Anyone caught doing so will result in a kick and report.

Language
In this group we highly suggest that bad language should not be used. If you are using bad language and you get caught using it in our chat you will get a kick from the group and the server.

Loopholes and Implied Rules
Use your common sense. Just because a rule is worded as such, or because we fail to mention the specifics about a rule, do not take advantage of it to claim your innocence. Any action that undermines the group or its chat is a violation of our rules. Claiming 'loopholes' or 'failing to mention specifics can't do's' when filing for an appeal is STRICTLY NOT TOLERATED and will result in a denied appeal.

Chat Ban Appeals
More often than not, we ban users from our group chat as a form of warning. Thus, our bans are usually always appealable. You can only appeal a ban 24 hours after the time in which you were banned. You cannot appeal a ban during a chat event. To appeal a ban please add my self or any orther admin / mod.

We rarely kick and ban members from our group. Such group bans are permanent and cannot be appealed.
