In a surprise move, Disney has released TRON RUN/r (presumably what we had known previously as TRON: Escape) onto Steam as an Early Access title, having revealed it at The Game Awards in Los Angeles. The game is an auto-runner, not dissimilar to BIT.TRIP.RUNNER.
As of right now, TRON RUN/r features three levels in its disc combat mode. Lightcycles are said to be coming soon, and if some leaked concept art is to be believed, so are the four-wheel off-road light runners from Tron: Legacy.
As of a few days ago, Disney Interactive has released TRON 2.0 and Tron Evolution on Steam. This is very exciting, but there are some things that should be pointed out:
The version of TRON 2.0 currently available on Steam is pre-patched to version 1.42, and is NOT a new version of the game with new fixes. Resolutions are still locked to 4:3 aspect ratio, despite some widescreen screenshots shown on the store page.
The version of Tron Evolution currently available on Steam still uses the Games for Windows Live DRM.
