A group for people who would be interested in playing Starseige: Tribes.

We're a group of people who are trying to get a bit of a community back for Starseige: Tribes, the fast-paced, open map arena-style shooter. The reasons hardly matter. Nostalgia? A love for high-speed flying laser sniper duels on alien planets? Whatever, now you can play with some bros.

Once this is up and running, I'll get matches running weekly, if not even more often. For now, still need to get more people interested, and get some shit sorted out involving servers, but that should be fine by the end of this week.

The version we're going to be using can be found below. Download it, and launch it with "tribes130-v-ws.exe" (NOT "Tribes.exe"). It should work fine, though sometimes the video settings are fucked by default, so just go into Options>Video and change the settings. Only widescreen resolution available is 1280/720, but that's all you need for older games, really.

It's not a big file, and when it's done just extract it somewhere, no installation. MAKE SURE TO RUN "tribes130-v-ws.exe" and not Tribes.exe (1.30 version is more recent than the older .exe). It should, by default, connect to the latest master servers.
