What is Skullgirls Slapfest?

At its core, Slapfest is lobbies + voice chat. Getting bodied is a lot more fun when it’s not by some faceless Steam name, but by someone who can tell you why you lost and how you can improve. We also do special events from time to time, like training sessions or exhibitions.

When is Skullgirls Slapfest?

Every Tuesday at 9pm Eastern. Check the schedule for details.

How good do I have to be to play with you guys?

There are no skill requirements. In fact, if you’re new to the game we’d be happy to show you the ropes.

What's the voice chat situation?

We're using Discord for voice chat. If you haven't tried it yet, rest assured: it's the bee's knees. You can even use it right in your browser! Here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/yMsjHWr

Do I have to voice chat? What if I don’t have a microphone?

You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to; you’re more than welcome to just chill in the room and listen. There's also a neat text-to-speech feature, so you can just type in the text chat and we’ll hear you. Robot style.

So... can I get a lobby invite?

Certainly! The easiest way is to use the /lobbies command in Discord during Slapfest; the bot will give you a handy link that takes you directly to the lobby. Otherwise, hang out in the Steam group chat room (shortcut url: steam://friends/joinchat/103582791434378820); this will let group officers easily invite you, even if you're not on their friends list (not that we don't want to be friends or anything). In fact, you don't even need to wait on an invite; you can always just right-click on someone in the group chat and select Join Game.
