Respawn time and TEAMplay
I think that with a respawn time very close to zero it's impossible to play in this little map without being harassed by suicide demomans - stalker scouts and infinite spies. If you don't have to wait everytime that you die,well,you're never give value to your gameplay because if you can die and respawn infinite times immediately,you're allowed to harass people everytime,without trying to improve your skills and gameplay. Quick examples : 1) You conquer a point killing some players and two seconds later they kill you while you're weakened and the results for your efforts? Equal to zero. 2) You kill a scout near the tower? No problem, he will kill you when you're wounded two seconds later. 3) You build a base for your teamates? No problem, 100 suicide demomans will destroy it with no effort,because they can respawn immediately.
CONTROL POINT maps are made for real teamwork, i underline again...TEAM-WORK.
Also to win you have to capture the last point but for attackers is almost impossible to cap, beacause defenders can respawn immediately, erasing any advantage you achieved before with their death.
So please support my idea, in order to make longer the respawn time,let's say 10-12 seconds.

I understand you. But i think there was never real teamplay and more deathmatch. It is impossible to cap the last point. If one team wins the teams where imbalanced. Thats because there is always a scramble after a round.
The most annoying thing are caberdemos or just stickyjumpers. I already thought a view times about to disable caber or even jumper. This map is very old and don't fit the jumper. Same as sniper. I know this map from old times where the sniperclass was disabled.

We can put the spawntimes a bit higher but i don't think this will help so much. Well lets see what the other players think about it.

Now we got a 2nd server which is much better for teamplay because valvemaps are designed for this much more. Orange Cross will always be a deathmach map in my opinion.

Thanks Steal,i like your support and i agree with you last opinion,the one regarding the second server,anyway,i hope that a longer respawn time will help to reduce the suicide-tryhard attitude of lots of players in M.S. Another idea could be to reduce the number of snipers in each team: 1 sniper per team. How does it sounds?? (Let the rage begin).

Fast respawn is around 3sec respawn time. Maybe i run a plugin to put the respawntime a bit higher (around 8sec) if there are over 12 people. And block the caber?

No,i mean, the problem is the respwan time. Even without caber,everyone still can suicide infinite times. i do believe that making respawn time a little longer will help. Thanks Mathias

People can only suicide with the caber. Going soldier and jump is just a legitimate and avoidable tactic. I think the major problems will be solved by just disabling the caber.
The main problem of this server is respawn time,which is too short,remember also that this map is SMALL so a scout who you've just killed can return 2 seconds later to kill you again. if this map would be HUGE,then the respawn time it wouldn't be a problem,but,as said before,it's a small map.

I would like to point out that cp_orange_cross is a deathmatch map and it's not meant to practice or "serious" gameplay whatsoever, as any orange map is.

Anyway,i'm just proposing small changes to a nice,small map,just this. remember also that TF2 is not Call Of Duty
