Cons: No pros.
Stock, so technically the best. It has high attack speed, and technically more DPS than the Pyro's Flamethrower. (Not including after-burn) It's a good tool in a pinch, but shouldn't be used outside of said pinch.

Cons: Unless he's on fire and there's no one to shoot. Then the legend dies pretty fast.
Makes it slightly harder to reliably survive as Medic, but with the massive strength of basically being unkillable if you have semi-decent aim and have Ammo. A very good weapon if you're on a map with a lot of Medkits or have another Medic close to you. Or if the enemy team has a lot of Pyros. This weapon is the bloody bane of Pyros.
Cons: Massively squandered damage at close range. 3aim5mi.
My personal pick for the best Medic Primary in the game. This weapon allows for much more power in both supporting and fighting. It also allows the Medic to keep his distance while fighting/healing, which is very valuable. The only weakness with this gun (other than the fact that you're basically playing Sniper with healing bullets and have to aim super good) is that it's very weak in close range, meaning that you'll have to rely on your melee weapon to fight your opponents.
Cons: And you lose out on most of your kills.
The issue with the Overdose is that it requires very specific situations to become active (Be Active Weapon, Have basically full Uber), while at the same time being too negligible in it's strengths to really be considered. Not only that but the lower damage is more noticeable than one would expect. Yes, you can chase better (or run away better) with the Overdose, but that extra reload you had to do since your Needles didn't kill your opponent may cost you your life, or save their's. Overall, the Medic almost never has his primary out, and shouldn't have his Primary out over his Secondary basically ever. If you want a weapon to help you escape: Take the Amputator. If you must be an Ubersaw Meta-weeb: I guess this could help.
Bonus healing. Long-range killing. Also I like to shoot candies.

I don't think I need to explain these two.
Yes, I'm a comp Medic, (not) sorry to be predictable.
just shoot it in a chokepoint/narrow cooridor you'll hit someone
be it a teammate or an enemy
both work equally as well plus better at longer ranges
also the overdose is good for retreating
using it with stock however is a real downside since it takes forever to charge to 100% and get the full 10% speed boost
its better on faster charging mediguns
pretty much any non stock medigun
it actually doesnt work well with the quickfix since it makes you go faster based on the class youre healing
so heal a scout demoknight or soldier
you can run away faster or jump away if you tell the soldier
best scenario i see is you use it at 100% charge to escape when your patient dies
save it
dont pop it and dont drop it
those are useful (i like to use crossbow lol)
