Issue authorizing Half-Life 2 and episodes.

ISSUE
Half-Life 2 and it's episodes are failing to authorized on a shared computer.

OS
Windows 7 (32bit)

STEPS

• Select Half-Life 2 (or episodes) though a shared library
  
• Click Play

RESULT
Upon attempting to launch said games, A prompt appears asking you to request access (screenshot)[i.imgur.com] as if the computer never had authorization to the shared library. Upon requesting the shared access steam acknowledges its mistake (screenshot)[i.imgur.com], however a second attempt will result in the same error.

Mounting these games (ex. on Garry's Mod, Synergy) will also not work.

EXPECTED
The game should be launched like other Source and Gold Source games, which appear to have no issue.


Happy to provide more information if needed. Unsure if this is a problem on my end or the Steam network.

I have a problem with this, but mine is happening on EVERY source game. did you buy the half life complete package? I bought them with valve complete pack. that might be the culprit. the bundled games. not sure though, valve has not responded to any of these posts. smh

Nah, got them with the orange box a couple years ago. Just been trying family sharing out on a second account. Unforunate bug.

Did any Orange box game work? I hope valve really fixes this, I really wanted to share their games

I can confirm this problem here too: unable to share Half Life 2.

Having this same problem, but with Borderlands 2!
