Well gentlemen, all good things must come to an end, and although it's been one hell of a ride, we must bid farewell to The Dairy Desperado's journey through UGC's 16th season of Iron Highlander.

We finished with a moderate Win/Loss of 4-4. The long standing members among us will recall the first days of DDesp's season: The god-awful match against the Meme-Team on pl_upward, the two forfited wins against whoever the hell they were, and the prompt ass kciking we recieved after that precarious beginning. However, let us not forget the pivotal pl_badwater match in which we lost a long, arduous match... only after proving that The Dairy Desperados were capable of fighting as a cohesive unit, as a team. I'm not going to butter it for you all, I actually some pride in you guys after that match.

Heads held high with renews purpose and pride, we marched on to fight three more matches. Koth_ashville, where we were overwhelmed by superior numbers, could have been a morale crusher for us. And yet, we went on to completely smoke [sig] at cp_glassworks, and fight the most intense match of the season at koth_lakeside.

Koth_lakeside, there was one fuck of a match, 'scuse my french. We worked together to assess the enemy team's movements, we counter attacked appropriately, and we all played each of our roles in what was really the most beautifully played game of the Summer. Even when it came down to an overtime to whin the game, one particular medic held on tooth and nail to keep the timer ticking (gg Dokter). [SYN] never knew what hit them.

While we may have lost a couple of members along the way, most of us here have been DDesp'n since the beginning. And yet, we have been fortunate enough to have gained the companionship of a number of members along the way.

But I hope you guys take more away from this season than just the matches. I hope you all had the chance to make new friendships, and to enjoy what was for most of us, our first competitve season.Having played alongside you guys all summer, I truly must say I have enjoyed your company, one and all.

However, this need not be the end of The Dairy Desperados. After koth_lakeside there were a number of heartening agreements to stick together next season in team chat, so I must ask:

Care to keep the ball rolling?

I know that some of us will have to reduce our participation in the team. Some of us here are college students, and will want to focus on studies, becoming subs next season instead of full time members. Understandable, I considered it myself. Just leave a comment below, and let me know if you guys want to keep playing in Highlander next season. I'll be happy to keep steering the U.S.S. DDesp into the waters of UGC with you guys at my side.
