HUD / Hitsound / Custom Downloads
Steam Pipe is out, and surely many people are confused. STAR_! Fix your hud! But...but...it works! It's worked without me changing it for months now! BUT STAR! - no! I've updated the installation instructions to match with how Steam Pipe works and added a note about how to fix a common font problem with my hud. Hitsounds are the same, updated, as well I've included a sound I've only recently started using and havn't provided a download for until now.
HUD (modified version of brosel i use):
Here are some other custom downloads around the internet; the readme files here have not been updated to reflect how to install on steampipe!
STEAM PIPE INFORMATION:
To install any custom files under the new steam pipe file system, head over to your new tf folder directory and create a new folder named "custom"
[C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\]
Next, a folder is required that names what the custom files are for organization purposes - it cannot be named something that the actual tf2 file system uses (materials,sounds...)
Next, place the custom folders/files in there! you will end up with something like this after installing a HUD:
[C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\HUD\resource]
HUD's should no longer break every update with this file system - enjoy!
